Great Gable great beer !

Day two 15th July

Wasdale Head & Great Gable

After a long day on The Old Man the 20m walk from the carpark of The Wasdale Head Inn was spot on ,as was the local brew ! The striking greens on Green Gable and Great Gable are somewhat challenging . Worth an Autumn or Winter visit to paint the same scene . I did however have help from a young lady called Katie. At just 10 she's already climbed most of the peaks in the valley! She helped with some of the trees whilst i chatted to her mum and dad . They've been staying in the same cottage for two weeks every year since Katie was tiny. .
