The influence of Impressionism

After visiting The National Portrait gallery to see the JS Sargent exhibition we went nextdoor ( The National Gallery) to see The invention of Impessionism . I'm more inspired than ever ! Both shows are stunning and you still have a few days to catch them before they end . I would urge that you do . Dappled light on water and loose immediate brushwork . I was a little suprised that this study of Thrift or Sea Pinks hanging on a clifftop didn't sell during the my recent solo show at Oriel Ynys Mon. The problem is I don't want to sell it now !

It's stopped raining so i'm going out to paint a view of Minera mountain . TTFN
