Llanddona Beach at Sunset

Also known as Red Wharf Bay, Llanddona beach is one of the largest beaches in the whole of North Wales. It’s so large that during World War II the military placed large wooden stakes on the beach to prevent enemy aircraft landing. The remnants of these posts can still be seen today! It’s a fabulous place to walk the dog or indeed ride a horse or just build sandcastles. Legend has it that many hundreds of years ago it was the scene of more than one battle involving Viking Raiders, and that the sand ran red with blood! This large painting would look fabulous over any fireplace.
